A 5-minute video demo

Create a new experiment

Go to the main menu on the left of the screen, click on "Experiment", next click on "Add New Test" to begin creating a new experience.

Setup a new A/B test

After you click on "Add New Test", you'll see various test options. For this example, we'll select A/B test and name the experiment as “My First A/B Test.”

Then, enter your URL in the last field. Finally, click on "Next: Create Variants".

Make changes to your variations of your website

After you click on "Next: Create Variants", you'll be taken to "Variant 1" visual editor page. You can start editing an element by hovering over it with your mouse, causing a blue outline to appear:

If we click on the element, a right content editor should pop up like this:

If you prefer a CSS or Javascript code editor, you can also switch to the code editor at the top of your screen. First, click on "Cancel" to close your current content editor, and then select the code editor you would like:

Now, you can start making changes to your Variant 1 using your preferred content editor. For this example, we're going to use a HTML content editor and change the headline copy to "Simplified A/B Testing Platform". Once you've made the changes in the content editor, click on "Save".

Define your targeted audience

After you've made and saved the changes, click on "Next: Targeting" at the top right of your screen to define your experiment's targeted audience.

For this example, we want to include only the audience based in the United States in this experiment. Click on "Next: Setup Goal" once you've defined your audience.

Define your experiment goals

On the "How do you define a conversion?" field, there are many goal types, be it engagement goals such as on-page duration and scrolling activity, or conversion goals such as submitting a form or triggering an event.

For this example, we'll define the experiment goal as "Click on an element".

Once you've selected "Click on an element", a visual editor should pop up at the bottom to help you identify the element on your website:

You can start choosing an element by hovering over it with your mouse, which will cause a blue outline to appear. Click on the element to select it as your goal. Next, you can give your goal a name so that in the future, you can select the same goal from the "Goal Profile" field.

Once you've selected an element from the visual editor, you should see a message indicating that you've successfully selected an element as a goal. Then, click on "Save Goal & Exit".

Publish your experiment

Make sure to install your project code (if you haven't already), found at the top of the screen. Click on it to view the necessary code and insert it into your header:

Once you have set up your goal and installed the code, click on "Publish Test" to activate your experiment.

Congratulations! Your first A/B test is now activated. You can find and view your experiment result in the "Active" Tab.
